inking that Financial District workers needed a calming retreat, Michelle Lam opened a third outpost of Spring Thyme (the other two are in Brooklyn) on an otherwise underwhelming stretch of Nassau Street. The colorful, simple and petite spa offers a grab bag of treatments” acupuncture, wraps, massage, body scrubs, facials and reflexology and most are priced under $100. Those with sensitive skin should try a facial customized by in-house herbalist and physician Dr. Li. After I filled out a questionnaire, Li checked my pulse, gazed at my tongue and diagnosed my health maladies (apparently, I have a weak spleen). He then whipped up an assortment of ingredients for my hour-long facial ($110). The process left my skin extra soft and radiant and me, an Eastern medicine convert. 40 Exchange Place (212-385-4973).

I have been going to this spa for about a year and I love it! And the new location is perfect! I recommend everything from the acupuncture to the massage to the waxing!! This place has the most painless waxes that I have ever had. I have had massages from 4 of the different massage therapists and they have all been amazing. When I go back, they even remember specific ailments I was complaining of last time and they checked in with me about them. I couldn’t recommend it more!

I have been a loyal customer of Spring Thyme since 2008 and I think they are great! You get your money’s worth! They may not have the ambiance of the big 5th Avenue Spas, however, they don’t have the attitude either. They provide amazing quality for a fraction of the price of the larger spas. Spring Thyme is also very clean and has amazing customer service.

I come here for facial and waxing appointments. I have tried other places, but no one measures up to Zori – she simply is the best. Zori is gentle and really tunes into to what your skin needs. Every time I get a facial from her, I feel very rejuvenated and relaxed. I leave Spring Thyme with my skin feeling refreshed. Zori does not push products on you, she really listens to you and she makes pragmatic suggestions to enhance your everyday facial regimen. Zori is also great at giving painless bikini waxing.

The only con is the distance since I live all the way uptown and work in midtown. I make the commute all the way downtown because I haven’t found any other place in NYC that compares to them.

I have been going to Spring Thyme for a few years now!!! However, yesterday I went for a last minute appointment. Giovanna did such a great job, I walked in tight and in pain (back and neck ), I especially loved the hot towels. Next time I’ll try the hot stones.

I am a regular customer of the Spring thyme Wellness spa. I “ve received both,acupuncture and medical messages there. I’m a person who suffers with chronic neck and back pain due to herniation as a result of a motor vehicle accident 10 years ago. I normally get some much relief of my pain after their messages or acupuncture treatment. I would recommend Kayan,my message therapist. She’s very kind , she’s a great therapist and she knows what she’s doing. I have recommended many of my friends to the Spring Thyme many ,many times.

I’m so glad I found Dr. Li. Having battled with insomnia and depression for years, Dr. Li’s acupuncture and herbs has helped me so much. I am finally able to breath easier and sleep better. Thank you so much.

I’m usually very picky about massages, but Spring Thyme really delivers. With a great atmosphere, warm and attentive staff, this is really a place to relax and escape right in the neighborhood.

I have never been one to want to get a massage, and I was nervous at first, however Spring Thymes professional staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I fully enjoyed my massage!

I love the facials Zorni gives. She truly shows interest in my skin and she remembers me by sight. I am looking forward to my facial for Easter.
